About DRIEMS Business Review (DBR)
DRIEMS Business Review (DBR) (ISSN 2320-6241 – Print; ISSN 2321-4112 – Online) is a peer-reviewed bi-annual journal of the School of Management, DRIEMS University. DBR publishes original empirical and theoretical articles that contribute novel insights to the discipline of business and management.
Mission and Scope
DRIEMS Business Review (DBR) is dedicated to publishing original empirical and theoretical research that offers novel insights into business and management. DBR welcomes all empirical methodologies, including qualitative, quantitative, field, laboratory, meta-analytic, and mixed methods, provided they significantly contribute to theory and practice.
DBR seeks original, insightful, and theoretically bold research demonstrating a substantial “value-added” contribution to the understanding of management issues. Articles should clearly highlight the relevance of their findings to management practice and theory.
Scope of DBR
- Research exploring underexamined phenomena, novel contexts, and emerging empirical patterns that challenge existing theories.
- Studies presented in an inquisitive and reflective voice, openly discussing the research journey.
- Findings that question prevailing assumptions, open new theoretical avenues, or stimulate further research.
- Rigorous research employing state-of-the-art methodologies, offering strong and persuasive evidence.
- Studies that bridge academic research and practice, providing actionable insights for business leaders, educators, policymakers, and consultants.
What DBR Does Not Publish
- Articles primarily testing hypotheses using a deductive framework.
- Research motivated solely by theoretical arguments without exploration of real-world phenomena or contexts.
- Opinion pieces or speculative essays without empirical or theoretical grounding.
Aims of DBR
DBR aspires to be a premier journal that informs thought leaders, including educators, consultants, executives, and policymakers, by providing evidence-based approaches to contemporary management challenges.
DBR aims to advance management education and learning by publishing the following:
- Empirical research, reviews, critiques, and conceptual articles addressing the teaching and learning of management.
