Aim and Scope

Aims of DBR

DBR aspires to be a premier journal that informs thought leaders, including educators, consultants, executives, and policymakers, by providing evidence-based approaches to contemporary management challenges.

DBR aims to advance management education and learning by publishing the following:

  • Empirical research, reviews, critiques, and conceptual articles addressing the teaching and learning of management.
  • Studies on the institutional environment and administration of business schools and their stakeholders.
  • Theoretical insights that develop, refine, or synthesize management and organizational theories.
  • Practitioner-focused research translating empirical findings into actionable strategies for management and policy.

Mission and Scope

DRIEMS Business Review (DBR) is dedicated to publishing original empirical and theoretical research that offers novel insights into business and management. DBR welcomes all empirical methodologies, including qualitative, quantitative, field, laboratory, meta-analytic, and mixed methods, provided they significantly contribute to theory and practice.

DBR seeks original, insightful, and theoretically bold research demonstrating a substantial “value-added” contribution to the understanding of management issues. Articles should clearly highlight the relevance of their findings to management practice and theory.
